launch giveaway!!!
February 12, 2009
we’re so excited to be launching our new future craft collective downloadable workbooks that we’ve decided to do our very first giveaway. This stands to be the first of many, friends, so we’re really hoping you’ll check back on us often, or even better, sign up for our newsletter (right over there in the right hand sidebar, in case you’re wonderin’..) so we can alert you when new workbooks are available and when giveaways and tutorials are posted.
We’d like to smack a big old virtual high-five to our girl jenny at websydaisy.com for her unending support and assistance in getting this site a-rockin’. us future crafters seem to be far better at whipping something up on a good old fashioned sewing machine then we are at typing code and embedding plug-ins, what ever that all means. so thank you jenny. we love ya.
so our giveaway!! this is a shirt from kathie’s ramonster collection- it’s a size 4T. all we ask is that you leave us a comment giving us some feedback about what you think of the new site, and tuesday morning (the 17th) we’ll draw a number from a hat (an adorable hand made one, of course, made from bedsheets and old jeans, most likely, that’s how we roll) and announce our winner. so check back tuesday!
here’s the goods:
good luck! and thank you in advance for your comments. we’re a collective effort, for sure, and we aims to please. wheeee! here we go!!!!

Love the site!! Very professional looking!!! I have the itch to learn how to sew. Maybe Bern could give a lesson in Jersey this summer!!! And that western shirt would look awesome on our new babe!
February 12th, 2009 at 11:53 am
I’ve got a toddler that would look awesome in that shirt once he grows into it. Very nice site redesign. Looking forward to keeping myself posted over here. Super cool stuff.

Oh how I have coveted Ramonsterwear! My daughter is four, and we could pass it down to my son, 2. (Because of the high quality, don’tchaknow)
February 12th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
OK, first of all, that little 2nd grade Kathie??? CUTE as a boot!!!
And the tutorial rocks. Even I, I dare say, might be able to whip up a lunch sack…
February 12th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Creative, connected, sassy, crafty, conscious, friendly, generous, smart, aware, earth friendly, inpirational. Just being in the same room with these creative folks makes you feel like a million bucks (and the site is great too).
February 12th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
I’m excited about the new downloads! The class schedule doesn’t match our meandering style, so I’m looking forward to being able to work on the projects at our own pace. The site is great. I particularly enjoy the tutorials, and all the “Buddies” links, too!
February 12th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Love the site! The tutorials are great. I like that I can come here and get project ideas, and share some, too. And I’m very excited about the downloads. The studio class schedule doesn’t work with our “meandering around after school” style, so the ability to start our own little group and get our craft on is fantastic.
And I love the “Buddies” link – great resource!
February 12th, 2009 at 1:03 pm
Great tuts, can’t wait for more downloads.
February 12th, 2009 at 1:09 pm
I’m excited about the tutorials. I love RAMonster wear. We give the clothes as presents to new parents and now I’m expecting any day – literally. I bought a shirt at Moxies a few weeks back even though it was 5year old as I didn’t want to miss out
It would be fun to have a Mom’s class where you make your own western shirt for kiddos bringing in your own fabric although not in the next couple of months as I’ll be busy
February 12th, 2009 at 1:25 pm
first time at this super fab site, and I’m sooooo excited! I’m off to go nose around…p.s. 4T is PERFECT for Mia
February 12th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
i think that i am most excited about a new craft collective full of rockstars! the tutorials are definitely something that i will be looking forward to as well. i love the pictures and the step by step instructions for the lunch bag
i’m now a follower! congratulations on the new project you guys!
February 12th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Great new site. I love the lunch bag tutorial and will be checking frequently for new tutorials. 4T is perfect for my nephew!
February 12th, 2009 at 5:34 pm
I like the simple layout of the new site, the tutorials are great too. I’d like to see more of the class project examples, since everything you guys make are so cool. Oh, and I missed out on the “making kids clothing” classes a few years back and would enjoy that one.
February 12th, 2009 at 6:28 pm
My first visit–and I really like the site! Looking forward to stopping by again for workbooks and tutorials. Oh, and the shirt is adorable, perfect for my nephew!
February 12th, 2009 at 7:44 pm
I love the site. It is inspiring me to take my sewing machine out for a spin.
February 12th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Looks fabulous! Go Jenny! I love the colors and the design. Stylin’ and straightforward at the same time.
February 12th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Site looks good. But still looking at it more to give more feedback.
February 12th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Great site, and your banner is so adorable. Great tutorials too- the clothes swap is now on my list of things to do this year- great inspiring idea! I would love to see more tutorials- esp ones for making up-cycled or recycled kids clothes or toys.
Thanks
February 12th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Love the detailed explanations in the new tutorial. Thanks for your hard work putting it together! Looking forward to more!
February 13th, 2009 at 5:11 am
Oh wow, that is super cute! My cowboy daughter would be all over it.
Cute shirt and cute site! What more could a blog reader want?
February 13th, 2009 at 6:46 am
Love the site. Love the shirt!!
February 13th, 2009 at 7:40 am
Very eye-catching, inviting, FUN – love the look. The tutorials are UNDERSTANDABLE – hurray – and that’s key! What about the idea of a Craft Swap? Kids make and share – spreading the craft joy around!
You know I love you…and wow…Rohen sure would look nice in that shirt
February 13th, 2009 at 8:19 am
I just found this site for the first time and it’s great! I love the step by step tutorials. They’re actually understandable. I’ve seen quite a few projects already that I want to make. Off to bookmark this site!
February 13th, 2009 at 8:27 am
Good on you guys!! The site looks great!
Kisses to you both.

I’m all in for scrounged materials & upcycled crafts. Everything here looks great. My crafting peeve is “throw away crafts” that either become something to dust or something to trash. I like fun/interesting/beautiful crafts with practical uses. Plus, since I border on the moronic, I need detailed instructions every time (my favorite way to learn new things is to hit children’s books). Finally, I appreciate craft sites that are free of visual clutter. Again, my brain can only handle so much stimulation.
This is my first time here and I was interested enough to sign up for the newsletter, so you’ve got something going that speaks to me.
February 13th, 2009 at 11:51 am
The site looks great! Keep it up.
February 13th, 2009 at 11:54 am
LOve your site, very professional looking, I love the colors. You also have a nice amunt of tabs so it is easy to navigate, great job…cute shirt too:)
February 13th, 2009 at 11:59 am
What a fabulous shirt and site. I love the orange and white look. But maybe it is a little too graphic heavy, even my fast connection took a while to load everything.
February 13th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
I love the new site! The main font is so cool (the handlettered look). I’m looking forward to checking in here regularly. Thanks!
February 13th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Really like the new site…….very creative !!… & easy to navigate……looking forward to the tutorials & downloads.
February 13th, 2009 at 5:21 pm
I like your website. =) It looks lovely.
The only problem I noticed is… That there is a large space between the header and the body of text.
February 13th, 2009 at 7:18 pm
What a great concept. Nab ‘em early. I wish I wasn’t 12 hours away from Austin but the downloads are a good inclusive element.
I love Ramonster Wear, Roo’s had a couple of things and Jasper’s almost outgrown the ’70s yellow and brown cowboy shirt that was my favorite thrift score of all time, so this would be a fabulous update…
February 13th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
This whole idea and website totally rock! Way to change the planet. I think there is one little weird thing with the navigation, that when you click on the comment button it goes to the top of the page and you have to scroll down to comment. Just minor confusing. I wish my mom taught me how to use a sewing machine. Maybe this will get me going.
February 13th, 2009 at 10:39 pm
I had heard of the Collective, but never checked it out online (thanks, Christina!) What a fabulous resource! I have only made it through part of the site so far, but am super impressed and inspired. You ladies rock!
February 14th, 2009 at 5:48 am
i’m a sucker for a good tutorial! great pictures and fun to click around.
February 14th, 2009 at 9:00 am
I have a 4 year old grandson and he’d look so sweet in this. Thanks.
February 15th, 2009 at 10:22 am
I realy like this site. I have a 4 y.o. boy and am always looking for things to do with him that are fun and might teach him something. I scan the craft sites I love for projects that can be done with a kid. I love crafting and it’s fun when we can do it together. One thing I notice when crafts come out for/about kids is that they most often lean toward the girls… the projects you have here look pretty neutral, but just something to keep in mind. Thanks for doing this site!
February 15th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
It looks fab, girls! Really great! I can’t wait for all the good stuff.
February 16th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
You are the future! Love what you are doing.
February 16th, 2009 at 4:53 pm
I’m impressed! and I’m inspired. AND I can’t believe you’re giving away all this inspiration for free. It’s a great thing y’all are doing. More people need this message and you’re making that possible.
February 16th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Very excited about all the new content — new site looks great! And I hope my son will one day look great in that shirt.
February 16th, 2009 at 5:07 pm
LOVE IT!!! Cade wants to know “Why are you giving away this shirt?! At least sell it…” I am happy for the chance to add another Ramonster wear to my surroundings…we’ll gift it to the lil’ cowgirl/boy we see the most….
February 16th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
You are so inspiring ! I might even dust off my antique sewing machine and play ! you have a loyal following…
February 16th, 2009 at 6:21 pm
I really like the reorganization of your site! It’s easy to navigate, and I love the idea of the downloadable workbooks! Keep it up!
February 16th, 2009 at 6:46 pm

February 16th, 2009 at 9:27 pm
Ewwww. I just have to say that I did NOT add the cheesy emoticon. So not me.
February 16th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
I hope you ladies keep up the good work! I will check in often!
February 16th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
I love it! Love the pictures on the header! : )
February 16th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
Congratulations on your launch. I just checked out the Ramonster site and what amazing work she does!
I can’t wait to see some crafty tutorials and maybe some great inspiration.
February 17th, 2009 at 7:22 am
HI, love the site. Navigation is clear, I like the pics with links to tutorials. I think your header might be too big (tall) , it pushes all of the good stuff below the fold (my background is in marketing and web design) but very nice overall. If you change it, try and go with a height around 200 px.
February 17th, 2009 at 7:23 am
also, your comment form is going to a 404 page after submitting.
February 17th, 2009 at 10:08 am
Thanks all for your amazing comments. We are excited for this big kick-off and really appreciate all the great feedback. Keep ‘em coming! We’ll be selecting a winner tonight for our giveaway so stay tuned.

good looking site, but loads up verrrry slowly. So slowly that I can’t say I have explored it fully. Must come back again another day.
February 26th, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Love love the lunch bag project~ very clever, I am all about reusing “trash” to make something awesome! It looks easy too if I knew how to sew
February 26th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
You have inspired my 2 grown daughters to take sewing lessons. Now that is saying something!
Awesome site!
March 2nd, 2009 at 8:35 pm
You guys are amazing! I’m already inspired, and not just by the notion of flannery in that seriously cool Western shirt. Can’t wait for more!
