Collective Craft Night

We’ve been bouncing this idea around for a while now – the idea of a Mama’s collective craft night – combining a ladies’ night out with a maker aspect. Now, thanks to Austin Aamp’s new warehouse at 411 W. Monroe St., we’ve got a great space in which to do it, so we’re going to give it a shot.  Here are the details for the first ever Future Craft Collective’s Collective Craft night…

What’s the project this time?

Postcard and Greeting Card collage. Our plan is to have a different project each time.

When is it?

Thursday, September 10 from 7:30-10pm and always the possibility that we could go a tad bit later

Where is it?

411 W. Monroe – a half a block east of S. 1st between S. 1st and S. Congress

What materials do I need to bring?

All materials will be provided and will be upcycled and recycled of course!

What do I get out of it?

You’ll get to take home as many amazing cards as you can make. Maybe you’ll win a door prize too. And you’ll save money on therapy because you won’t even believe how good you feel at the end.

Will there be drinking involved?

Most likely. This event is B.Y.O.B.

How much is it?

$15.00 per person. So for $20.00 you get a night out, a cool craft and a couple of beers to boot.

Why should I come?

This is a really fun and rather therapeutic creative process which requires no previous crafting skills but can take you to new crafting heights. And, in addition to leaving with some great mailable art, you’ll get the chance to sit around and craft with a bunch of other mamas. When all is said and done, you’ll be able to get up and walk away from the mess. Really. You can. In fact, I insist.

Is this just for mamas?

The term mamas means in fact all women. Webster’s Dictionary concurs. They even add “sexually attractive” to their definition. I like it!

Can I sign up ahead of time?
