Holiday Collective Craft Afternoon (crafternoon)

Date November 30, 2010

Sorry folks! This is canceled due to a scheduling conflict with the Austin AMP space. Stay tuned for news of a possible rescheduling.

I just can’t resist the group holiday craft extravaganza so I’ve put it on the calendar for Saturday December 11th from 3-6pm. Perfect for getting your craft on before getting gussied up for whatever holiday party should come your way. Come join us and get started on your own family Advent calendar – albeit a bit late for the big countdown but perfect perhaps for gift giving or for those who usually get a late start on the holidays anyway.  Here are a few samples from last year’s Advent making party…

We’ll also have materials there for dabbling in some felted sweater crafts – baby hats, scarves and the like.  This is a great material for beginning sewers and for those who want to knit but just don’t have the patience. Kathie likes her leg warmers made from the  knitted variety  but I prefer mine the quick and easy way.  Have you seen this won’t-come-off baby hat we made last year for Craft Magazine? Super easy and super cute too.

If you’d rather just sit back and make some holiday collage cards, those materials will be there too. Completely re/up-cycled materials of course and lots of good die-cut images to choose from. Bring your family photos and make your own photo cards to send or give as gifts.

Come craft with us. Make your own gifts or make something for yourself. Either way, you’ll have a good time.
