Handmade Holiday just got easier

Date November 15, 2012

You know how this time of year you say you’re going to make a lot of handmade gifts? And you have really good intentions? And then the party invites start rolling in and the school performances start filling the calendar and suddenly you’re like, “crap! How am I going to find time to attend all these parties AND make my gifts??!!”

Well, we think we have the solution.

Here in Austin we’ve got two nights of Makefest on the calendar. December 6th (ladies only) and December 16th. One’s at Mockingbird Domestics on S. Lamar and the other is at Vuka Co-op on W. Monroe. Both really central. Both with fun projects – screen printing, book binding, succulent garden making and more.

We’l have local beer and wine for you to sip. And yummy treats from local bakers(read: Sugar Mamas!!)  for you to eat.  Fun door prizes to win.

And when you walk out you should have a few sweet handmade gifts to give. Really. It’s a night out and a night of making. All rolled into one. Seriously, it’s going to be amazing. Like a Holiday dream come true!
